#2178 Ambassador Ware Demicup, Fondeville, England
Cup and saucer are decorated with beautiful pink roses with large gilt leaves and gilt handle.  Gold trim at base and top of cup as well as around rim of saucer.  Rims are in a crimped pie-crust style.
		Cup is 2 5/16" tall x 2 7/16" across top opening.  Saucer is 4 5/8" diameter	1 set in stock

SOLD #2745 Windsor Bone China English Coffee Set SOLD
Made in Longton, Staffordshire, England, by the Co-operative Wholesale Society, Ltd, at Windsor Pottery, in business 1946-1964.  This mark was used beginning in the 1950's. (Sources:  Kovel's, page 120; Directory of European Porcelain, pages 239-240; and this website:  http://www.thepotteries.org/allpotters/300.htm )  Coffee Pot is 6" tall to rim of neck; Creamer is 3 1/4" tall at spout; Sugar is 2 3/8" tall x 3 5/8" diameter across top; Demicups (6) are 2" all x 2 1/2" diameter across top; Saucers (6) are 4 3/4" diameter.  Notice the heavy gold trim and the footed design of all the pieces.  The romantic figural scenes are in transfer.  The set consists of Coffee Pot, Sugar and Creamer, and 6 cups and saucers.  The set appears to have never been used.  A real beauty!!!  Excellent condition. $225  April 2006
