#2785 Trimont China Occupied Japan Cup and Saucer

The Occupied Japan part of the mark dates it to the 1945-52 era just after World War II when Japan was occupied by the Allied forces.  Hand Painted.  Eye-catching gold background with large florals.  Scalloped rims on saucer and footed cup.  Saucer is 5 5/8" diameter.  Cup is 2 1/4" tall x 3 5/8" diameter across top.  Excellent condition except for some slight wear.  Priced accordingly.  A beautiful display cup.

#2493 American Beauty Occupied Japan Teacup and Saucer

The Occupied Japan part of the mark dates it to the 1945-52 era just after World War II when Japan was occupied by the Allied forces.  This is another little beauty!!  The brightly colored fruits of purples, pinks, and yellows and surrounded by the green foliage on a soft yellow background make it just too irresistible!!  Notice that even the inside of the cup is fully decorated.  Although the mark says it is hand painted, it is actually in a transfer pattern with the colors apparently added by hand.  The footed tea cup is 2 1/8" tall x 2 15/16" across the top opening.  The saucer is 4 13/16" diameter.  Perfect condition.

#2500 Ardalt Occupied Japan Hand Painted Mini Cup and Saucer

The Occupied Japan part of the mark dates it to the 1945-52 era just after World War II when Japan was occupied by the Allied forces.  It does appear to be genuinely hand painted as the mark claims.  Very small.  The cup is only 1 13/16" tall x 1 3/4" across top opening.  The saucer is 3 7/8" diameter.  It is also very sheer, which is a sign of very fine porcelain.  Colors are in pretty yellows, greens, lavenders, oranges, and gold.  Most unusual and so very elegant!!  Perfect condition.

#2498 Chubu China Occupied Japan Hand Painted Teacup and Saucer

The Occupied Japan part of the mark dates it to the 1945-52 era just after World War II when Japan was occupied by the Allied forces.  This is a gorgeous little footed tea cup and saucer with bright hand-painted greens, pinks, and oranges in a Tobacco Leaf pattern.  Scalloped gold-trimmed rims on cup and saucer.  Gold ornate handle.  Almost perfect, but not quite, although we thought it was when we bought it.   While photographing the saucer, we discovered on the backside a faint hairline of approximately 3/8".  It definitely does not go through the top side and can barely be found -- we tried to capture in the picture below.  Cup is 2 3/8" tall x 2 7/8" across top opening.  Saucer is 4 15/16" diameter.  A real beauty and treasure and a wonderful collector's cup for any display.
